But I don't think it could be my fuel pump..
a fuel pump wouldn't cause misfiring..
    Rich conditions would...(right?)
    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well tickle my nipple and call me nancy, guess what the culprit was!
the crank position sensor. Why is such a heavy object held on by such thin wires?

Is this like..salvageable? .I want to reuse it again..but I don't know how to open it to solder the wires back on there (new wires of course).

it doesn't hurt to replace the fuel filter since its a 20+ year old filter.
Bought parts from me before? leave your feedback here

Ooof. Sorry I wasn't able to reply before now.. Busy few days.

But that looks pretty ugly. I wouldn't think twice before replacing it with a new part. $70 part that could save a huge headache down the road if your soldering fails or somehow changes the signal sent by the sensor.

Got a CPS on the way..
This may be dumb but..can I move the engine position? Like, I left the engine positioned exactly how it was before I removed the CPS, if I turn any pulley and then put in the CPS i'm getting, will it mess anything up?
Because I want to adjust my valves while waiting for the CPS to arrive.

I win! :D glad it was something easy.

go ahead and adjust your valves, it wont affect the sensor at all.

Woot! thanks bro haha. I have the sensor out of the car now so I was just worried if I adjusted the valves and hooked the sensor back up at a different point, it would screw everything up.
