They are on ebay all the time. Nothing more than a ten cent resistor that the sellers try to pass off as a chip. Anyone that sells these is full of crap, and the people that buy them are either stupid or don't know any better. -
If you can fool the computer into thinking that the incoming air is colder than it actually is, then it can advance timing more for more power.
But this can be bad, if it's a hot day, and you are pushing it hard, it could overheat and cause damage.
It should make more power for you, but there is risk of damage.
Plus you don't know if this guy researched each car to give you the correct resistor.
I wouldn't put that on my car.

I always feel very sorry for the morons that fall into buying that kind of crap on eBay. You can only imagine what their cars look like and/or how they run.Comment
