electrical problems, please help!

Right off the bat; its my 85 535i, but I thought it wouldnt hurt to post it here..if its a big deal, im sorry!

Already searched, but no luck. Last weekend I was driving at night, ended up hitting a big pothole, my stereo and speedo went out immediately. I thought no big deal ill replace fuse 6, it blows instantly. I've unplugged tails, had stereo checked, still no short to be found. Anybody have any ideas on what it could be? Its my daily driver and I need my speedo!

The conjunction of the pothole and fuse failure suggests a wiring problem. If the car has an aftermarket stereo I'd start by critically examining the wiring associated with stereo.
