    Fuel Fill Up Takes FOREVER

This isn't really a problem specific to just E30's, but it's the first time I've encountered it myself.

When I'm filling up at the pump, I can't squeeze the nozzle trigger more than about 1/3 of the way or the vapor lock cuts off the flow.

I've heard this is a result of a clogged tank vent. I'm planning to just start pulling parts of the vent system off and checking to see if air flows through them, but if anyone has fixed this and/or has pointers I would appreciate 'em.

    Thx

In a stock configuration the tank vent is via the charcoal cannister and the clearance around the filler opening. If all of the stock parts are in place I'd suggest looking at the hoses and the line that runs along the bottom of the car.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

That happens to me quite a bit, but only at gas stations with certain types of nozzles. I never thought about checking the tank vent lines; may have to do that when I get the time.

I would suggest you try not putting the nozzle in quite as far (make sure it's past the door, ofc). I've had that happen to me at certain stations, and a slight re-adjustment of the nozzle fixes it.

If you can't fill it with a funnel and a gas can without it overflowing, then you might have a kink/dent in the filler neck.
