Help jimmy heat his car thread

So this swap car doesn't have heat/air conditoning/blower motor. PO says the "heater box" was never put in but the wiring is in place (but snipped). Also the plumbing isnt there either and the place where the lines should come through the firewall is covered with a rivited in panel. Im a little worried becuase the clearance there is soooo tight idk if normal lines would even fit.

I guess what im asking is what do most people do for heat with there m50 swaps? How hard is it to put in a "heater box"? Im okay with getting creative but bottom line is I need heat and really dont have a great idea with how the HVAC system works.

This weeknd I plan on starting to pull out the console and trying to figure this shit out the hard way.

The "heater box" is called a "heater core," I have not heard of anyone getting rid of theirs for their DOHC swap since all you have to do is heat and bend the outlets a little to clear the IM.

In order to reinstate it, depending on how the lines have been modified, you may have to get new lines (spider hose and the small one that goes to the block, but they probably just plugged the spider hose into the block so you'll just have to get the small one), drain then refill/bleed the coolant, and you may have to remove the engine. I have never done the job so I can't say for sure.

Honestly I am not sure why anyone would get rid of the heater core unless it was leaking and they were poor/lazy. It's basically a secondary radiator and it's not like it weighs a substantial amount.
    paint sucks

Noble (The guy who did the swap) Bought the car as a shell, so it didn't have anything. It was going to be a track build, so why go through the hassle of putting it in the first place?

Go grab everything that's missing out of a junkyard car. Or take it to a shop.

I'm sure he might reciprocate and call you an idiot as well. How does this help the current owner or even relate to this thread?
