Weird noise coming from the right rear wheel

It's a metal on metal sound. It sounds like my brake pads are horrible worn down, but the noise happens in movement as well. It gets progressively and HORRIBLY worse as I'm slowing down (without pressing on the brakes). It also happens when I'm applying the brakes, but the noise somewhat dies down. What in the blooper can it be?

The dust shield. Bend it back to where it belongs.

Yep that did the trick...my dust shield was god damn embedded into the center of my rotor! Was kind of a tricky position getting a big flat head in there without scratching the rotor but it worked out well. Thanks again.

don't hold your breath...another inherent problem is the pins breaking through the backing plate causing your shoes to come loose making a very similar sound. Just a heads up!
