Ok I got under my car and checked everything out. Seems like the bolts between the catback are rusted solid. Is it a good idea to use a crowbar to pry this section loose?Renting my rear wheel bearing tool kit. SIR

No, just break the bolts loose. get a vice grip and be ready to use lots of leverage.- Sean HayesComment

Soak those bolts in PB Blaster. Lots of it. Let it soak overnight. Then get a good 6-point socket and put a cheater bar on the ratchet and give it a try. Some people have had success using a torch to heat the bolts and loosen them but I don't want to be the one to suggest you do something that could potentially start a fire in your car...Comment

those two rings go in between the pipes connecting the cat and the muffler, atleast one of them does i know that.1991 318iS swapped w/ euro S50B32
