    New car oil service light on all the time

    Try'ed serching no luck...
    Ill make it short
    Got a new car 86 ES got it hime hooked up a battery and ever sense the oil srvice light stays on when ever car has battery power??
    any help im more of an M50 guy but this is a winter car

      SI batteries in the cluster are prob. bad.

          likely a short in the SI board. replace it or ignore it.

              Sweet thanks guys i put a spare one in problem fixed and i have a temp gauge but now the gas guage reads half a tank i was like cool free gas...then the light came on and i was like what... must be a bad fuel level sensor in the tank cuz this one worked in the car i took it out of. Good thing i have a spare.
