Car wont start after front fire, no life with jumper box hooked up

I bought a 700 dollar e30 (mistake number one), its got 265K so everything is as old as shit and held together by all the dirt and grim and half of jones beach under the hood. Its hard for me to target one area.

My car was leaking coolant all over the place so I replaced the radiator, couple hoses, etc.

The only difference with the car now is I didn't put the A/C belt back on and took the fan off.

After hooking up the jumper box it cranked like it should, didn't turn over. Probably from sitting so long, so far so good. It drained the jumper box out, so my friend did something to charge it. Im unaware of what else he did other than try to start the car again, when he made an attempt it made a big boom, front fire or back fire.

Now the problem is the car wont even turn on, like its not getting power. Im going to check the fuses and report back. Just wondering if there any common symptoms and what might be wrong in the meantime.

Did your friend over charge it? He could have fried some electronics somewhere, ecu, relays, wiring harness etc. By Big boom it was like something exploded? I would check the starter at this point.

Negative what happened was I hooked the jumper box up backwards, for some reason the red and black color coded cables are reverses on the box vs e30. It was late, luckily though it just friend the battery. I popped the one from my M3 out and its cranking now.

The front fire MAY have been caused by not tightening down the intake rubber boot / air box. Too much air caused it? Last time it happened it left the rubber MAF/TB connector boot in flames, lol.

Ive been reading up on some problems due to injector problems or leaks or somehting. Im gunna tighten everything down and try it. And hope it doesnt have an internal fire.
