Hooked jumper cables up backwards, WHAT DO I DO NOW??

I just got my car back together after a month of sitting, it was late and dark and for some reason the color of the cables to the battery are switched from normal so long story short I hooked the jumper cables up backwards, got some sparks.

Now the car wont get any power or signs of life at all when I hook the jumper cables up the correct way.

On my katana it did this and there was a breaker type switch that would pop out to protect the electrical system. Do e30s have anything like this?

Im going to check the fuses, what is the likely hood of some big money damage??

Year, model and location of battery will help telling you what needs to be replaced.

If you have a rear battery you probably burnt the fusable link. It's the little wire that runs to the front along with the fat positive wire.

        Yeah, I would check this.
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
        Mark: "You never will."
