    replacing CTS, drain coolant?

I'm going to change the CTS on my 89 325i. Bentley says I need to drain some of the coolant. Is this right? Do I just drain the block or the radiator too?

    Thanks!

You can do this without draining the coolant. You will loose come of the coolant when you remove the sensor. After the new sensor is in place wash that off with water.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Just get ready and do it quick when car's cold, you'll lose a few spurts but no big deal. Then top up the expansion tank, crack open bleeder on thermostat housing and you're golden.

              A deep socket works.
