Motor question, but I think it belongs here

Moderators can move this if they want.

Can anyone give me an estimate as to how much hp/torque this engine set-up would put out:

    M52 block
    S50 head/cams

    tia.

What displacement? I'd guess 220 at teh fly for something like that, depending on what manifold and whatnot you use.
    Adam Fogg- '88 M3

Common sense- It's the new 'gifted'

why not just save your money and go directly to S50/S52? :)

why not just put m3 cams in the 2.8 head?

I want the M52B28 block because its aluminum, and S50 cams and head would boost up the hp enough for me to be happy with. I'm picking the M52 block because it would go right in to where my M50 is now with without any problem. This is how I'm looking at the situation...

Right now I have an M50B25 with a/c, so an additional 40-45lbs more. If I were to get the M52B28 block, it would be about 60lbs lighter than the M50 block, and I wouldn't put a/c on it, so thats 60+40lbs=100lbs weight loss up front and more power. Then a custom burned chip and possibly headers, and I'd be set with a pretty badass engine, yes?
