    trip odometer is waaaaaaay off.

Did a little driving this past weekend. The trip odometer read 55.6 miles when i got home after the drive. I maped out my trip on google and came up with 111 miles. Some how 55.4 miles got lost....

any ideas as to how this could be?

i have stock tire size 195/65/14

That sounds like failing gears in the odometer. They aren't difficult to replace.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

hmm, broken teeth on the gears maybe?

ive taken apart an odometer before, if a gear or tooth broke wouldnt it just stop completely? guess ill just have to take it apart and have a look.

are there any other things that could cause this issue?

Wasn't there a thread a while back about someone having a similar issue since they had a Canadian/Metric cluster but were using gauges/faces from a US/English car? I will try and find it .

If the diff sensor was the cause both the odometer and speedometer would be affected equally. Since you didn't mention the speedometer reading at about half of what it should, I'm sticking with the gears as the cause.

is this on the is? if so the gears i put in there were kinda jenky, and i expected them to break eventually.
