    short shifter question

hey folks, i know everybody swaps in the z3 shifters into our cars cuz it fits, but will an e36 ssk fit in our cars? the only reason im asking is because i have the oppurtunity to pick one up for >$20 or so. let me know if it's a good investment to look into or what

In theory it would mount up, but you have to check all the lengths of everything to make sure.

ive ran e36 levers with no rubbing on 1 car and had it rub on another. bottom line is they will work with some massaging of the selector rod

i'm running an e36 m3 shifter on my 318is with no problems so far. its really an amazing sporty throw. I have never felt a z3 shifter in an e30 though so I can't relate the two unfortunately.
