My backup lights aren't working (and haven't since i've owned the car). My dad said it could possibly be the sender on the transmission. Anyone want to offer their .02? Thanks

Check the wiring where it passes through the body above the tranny. It goes thru the same rubber boot as the shift lever itself and sometimes the wire breaks.Adam Fogg- '88 M3
