As noted above, the tensioner could be bad. In addition to that you could have a bad bearing in a tensioner a bad bearing in any of the belt driven parts, or an old and glazed belt. Remove the belt and check each rotating part for a rough bearing. When removing the belt you'll be able to tell if the tensioner is still good. If you don't find a problem with a bearing or tensioner, replace the belt.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Ok here is a thought.. When its very cold the belt squeaks..And really intermittent not for very long. Then once the car is warmed up a bit i can't hear it come in at all. If I know my physics class correctly rubber contracts when heated?
So I feel like the tensioner is doing its job possibly?
