Ground Control Installation on non-M3 E30

I am interested in purchasing a Ground Control suspension package and I was wondering if I can use the existing strut housings on my '91 318is to weld the Ground Control coilover to.

At Ground-Control they say you can use your existing M3 housings...but can non-M3 housings be used? I know there are a number of you guys out there with non-M3 E30's with this GC setup. Let me know what's involved after receiving it from GC. Do I just need to chop off the old spring perch and weld on the coilover?

Thanks for your help, there was a similar thread "Ground Control install on an E30 M3...", but it didn't exactly say if I could use non-M3 housings.

Yes, you just cut and weld on your current housings. The amount of typos and misleading info on the GC site is slowly decreasing, but still there.

My 318is had the GC perches on the standard non-M strut housings. So, yes.
