    Door Hinge Popping

Anyone know how to fix this?
I cannot figure out how to get to it, the The U-joint seems pretty far in.
(I've already popped the card off)
The popping noise is rather loud, and the door hinge has become very difficult to swing. I'm afraid that it will break very soon..

So is It the hinge or the stopper thing?

      Sorry, it's the stopper. Yes.

What happened on my eta sedan was the sheet metal where the stopper mounts to the body cracked so it made a popping sound every time I opened or closed the door.

Sheet metal? i'm leaning more towards thinking the bolt holding it down is stripped..

Ya if you take off your fender you can see where It mounts. I had it welded up once but the weld just broke again. Maybe post a vid of the sound? That would probably help us.

I just removed the lower bolt right now, and the lower part of the metal-piece just came off.
The upper bolt seems to be stripped, and it is holding the upper part of the broken-piece in.

Edit: Got the whole thing out, its broken. Going to the yard.

Get one from the passenger side. It usually has seen less use and will be in better condition. Both sides are the same.

Got a pair from the JY yesterday for $10, an extra to be safe.

they r called door brakes. 35 bucks new from pelican and an easy fix. get it done. that clicking will stress fracture your door jam. pull the rubber cover off the hing u c when you open the door, punch out the door pin remove the screws that hold it on the door, remove from the inside and replace in reverse. a mirror will make the job a little easier to c inside the door as u line it up. and for a couple extra bucks, buy a new pin u might ding the old 1 up while removing.
