    car trouble

Alright well what do you know, another problem with my e30. So everything was fine and dandy but when I came to a stop light and put it in neutral I watched my revs fall down reallly low (300 or so) so I gave my gas a little tap to see if it would bring it back up, instead this time it fell too low and my car stalled out. Had to drive home gassing it the whole time so the car wouldn't die. Anybody have an idea what this could be? fuel pump? regulator? injectors? Not really sure, input would be nice. Thanks.

If the engine runs when you keep it well above idle, but wants to die if you allow it to idle, an intake leak would be high on the list of suspects. A smoke test of the intake would be the first diagnostic to be done.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Idle control valve bad or throttle switch out of adjustment?

first try the smoke test (you can also do it with carb cleaner), then take a look at your crank position sensor. I has a similar problem and that turned out to be the culprit.

not really sure what's going on now, the car ran perfectly fine all day today.

I had the same thing and it turned out the throttle cable needed to be adjusted.

sounds like that could be the culprit, what'd you do just tighten it?

Check leaking fuel or air hoses.

Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
                  Mark: "You never will."

Have you tried cleaning your ICV? maybe a bad AFM?

Probably going to clean my ICV this weekend.

Also noted on my way home from work this week my heaters weren't working as good, i'd say about 50%.
