Changing to single fuel pump?

Im going to be changing my fuel pump(s) in my 85 325e and IIRC I have a prepump and then an external pump.

I was wondering if anyone has undertaken changing to just the late model large single pump.

I don't have an answer to your question, but I have been thinking the same thing. I was (am) considering megasquirt for my car and everyone that has done that has used the single late model pump. If I find any info I'll let you know.

i've heard that the 90+ 325 tank with a cobra mustang in-tank pump are the ticket in e30 m3's. there is some simple modification necessary to fit the pump in the tank
