Yes, no need for any modification.

I had a 1.9 lever on my car for awhile and didn't need to modify anything, so I'm sure to that extent. Certain cars got a balancer around the guibo that my car doesn't have. Check your car to make sure.

no modification needed, it might sit a little up and to the right in the opening (shifter itself, not selector) but its so minimal you wont even notice it

i c,what year is your car? As why I ask because some people told me 90-91 318is doesn't need to bend selector shaft comparing to lower model IS.

how you like the z3 1.9 shifter?

I've never bent the selector shaft in ANY E30 I have installed a short shifter in. Just an FYI from somebody who has done more than read about it on the internet.

The Z3 1.9 will fit with no issue. :)

get the delrin carrier bushings, might as well use something solid while its all apart....that rubber one will eventually wear out

i believe turner sells them, they are a UUC product

That lever will sit a little father forward (same as I have in mine) but I prefer that, as I have long arms.
