Anyone in boston area got a set of spark plug wires and ignition coil I could borrow or buy cheap?
Short story: beater won't pass emissions (slightly high on HC and NOx) Swapped out a bunch of stuff, exhaust still stinks.
Tested spark wire cables today and coil again. They are somewhat out of spec. I've already dumped enough money into this car, don't want to spend much more. Not to mention it still needs other work like AC and suspension I haven't even started working on. :evil:
Here are the specs:
Spark Plug Wires:
(Bentley: 5000 ohms +- 1000 ohm including spark plug connector)
1: 5.9k
2. 5.82k
3. 6.06k
4. 6.02k
5. 5.8k
6. 6.10k
to coil :1.1983k (bentley doesn't list spec for this, anyone know?)
Coil:
(Bentley: Primary resistance .5 ohms, secondary 5000 ohms)
Mine: .6 ohms, 6.18k ohms
