I was cleaning out the trunk yesterday and pulled down the plastic felt covered side paneling around where the stock jack goes....low and behold it is massively dirty and moist down there.
there is also a 6 inch long 2 inch wide area of surface rust that has appeared.
it appears "fresh" and doesnt flake off or anything, its just....rust colored and rough.
so, my question is, do i sand this down? and if i do, what do i put over it to protect it?
