Name this part and how do I take it out?

As the title says. What is this and how do I remove it? I want to change my carpet from cream to grey but I have no idea how to remove this thing. I dont eve know what it does...

my car was an automatic but now is a manual if that means anything.

    thanks

That's the button to activate the flux capacitor. You should leave it in if you ever want to make it back to 2011

Its a switch that makes overdrive kick in a makes your car go fast yo.

Not really, its just a detent button. Its for the automatic drivers to "feel" a downshift. Take it out

        It unscrews.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
