    Two random issues I'm having...

Ok, to not be a post whore, I figure I'll ask two questions at once.

First question, this morning leaving work my throttle was sticking - bad. I was on the highway went to pass, and floored it (had to, it's an ETA :)), when I went to shift into 4th, my engine pinned itself and stayed there. I tried prying the pedal back out, with no luck - that wasn't the part that was stuck. Finaly it came back down, but it kept sticking if I went any more than 1/4 throttle. Sprayed the bejesus out of it with WD, and it seems to be better, but what could have caused this? Bad TB? Throttle cable? Something else?

Second question. At around 78-80 MPH, I get a weird "pulsing" vibration. Not constant, just shake.....shake.....shake.....can't figure out what would cause that. Fine until 80, fine after. Wheel/tire out of balance? Bent rim? Anyone else get this?

First one, do you have cruise control. Did you play with it? Mine got stuck "on" in my henna once on an access road. A little scary.

I do have cruise, but I've never messed with it. What can I do to check it out? The cable at the tb looks ok...

The pedal is always stiff in E30s but maybe the wd will do the trick? Is it bent after the firewall or something?

My pedal was more noticeably stiff when I first bought it. But I don't see any bends or anything - seems fine. The car feels better after I greased it down. I'm gonna swap my TB on there for good measure - it's a lot cleaner and nicer.

from what ive driven, the pedals seem stiffer on older e30's than the newer ones...my 88 has a really light gas pedal, where as my buddys 325es, as well as about 5 other ETA's that i test drove, all had stiff gas pedals... :?:

I'm comparing the stiffness of my 86 ES to the stiffness of my 85 ETA. The 85 was easier. I have to really get on the ES. Not so good.

Not to steal the thread, but do you happen to know what caused this? The same thing happened to me the two times I used cruise, and I had to pop it into neutral where it revved to about 6k, then finally shut off.

Wait, that's what mine did. So you aren't stealing the thread :)

funny enough mine did this in my driveway the other day. I found that there is a metal link (looks like a door lock rod) that attaches to the 2 levers that operate the butterfly. if someone has leaned on this assembly ever, it gets a slight bend and will hang, onty at wot, on the intake manifold. took me a bit to find out what was going on. I just bent it up *carefully* with a screwdriver. no problem since then, of course it dosen't run either from a non related prob.
