    Drop front everything?

I want to move the front suspension, engine and transmission from one car to another car. Can I just drop the front subframe keep everything else in tact and raise the car off of it? Do subframes change from year to year as well?

For reference I'm moving everything from an 89 325i to an 86 325e

aside from disconnecting the mounts, 4 bolts to hold the subframe you can pretty much drop it out. disconnect brake lines, abs sensors, power steering lines. control arm bushing from the body.

Right on. This should hopefully make things go a bit quicker.
