I need to remove the panel on the softtop compartment lid. I want to switch my beige panel to black panel, but it doesnt look that simply. Has anyone removed this panel before or is there anywhere I can go that shows how to do it?

    Thanks

If your talkin about what im thinking. it is EASY PEASY. four bolts small like 10 mm. that are held on to the lifting support. be careful not to drop it on your car when you take it off!!

From what i know the vinyl is glued on, you are refering to the rear hood correct. Where the top folds into, you want to change the color of the vinyl ?

Yeah, from what I heard; Dup color or sem works great and it holds up! some people on here have said they've applied it two years ago and still holds.

I am in the same boat. I'm changing my interior (panels, carpet to black) and will probably just use vinyl paint to change what I can't remove.

i have changed the door cards and rear panels. Do only thing left is the top compartment lid panel. I even have that but I cant figure out how to take the panel off the lid. So what type of paint do you guys recommend?

Duplicolor gm black I believe or the sem black trim paint. go back through some post in the interior section you'll find plenty info there.

my cover has gone through hell and even though its exposed to the sun.. it hasnt cracked or shown signs of decay. the duplicolor fabric black is really great.i just took out the to tonneau cover, set it on a trash bin. taped off the whole cover except the vinyl, including underside, finished the whole can on it to be on the safe side.

i regularly clean it with vinyl spray like lexol, just to keep it shiny and stuffs.
