    recirculatin air flaps

    Hi guys.
I need advice. There are two recirculation air flaps next to the blower motor.
Each of them has rod attached by swaging. The rods connected to the actuators under the dash to control the flaps. There are two actuators for each side. On the passenger side the rod broke off of the flap. Flap plastic became brittle and the rod broke and fallen inside the dash. Could you please advise me how to fix. Car 1990 325i manual. Probably, I wouldn’t bother but the passenger side actuator activates itself while driving. How to reach it to unplug? I know, fuse 20 controls but I will loose AC.
    Thank you in advance.

You gotta take the console and out and reach in from behind that most likely if you want room to work. Why not just replace the rod to get it to work properly again? (Grin)

Thank you. I fixed. If somebody need, I will post how I did it. The reason for flap breakage was a broken small white plastic clip which holds the rod on the lever of the motor-actuator. It took me about 4 hours, but it is not hard at all.
