    Rear Bearing Question

Ok so I have a 1988 325is and I need to take the rear bearing nut off. Will I have to do anything to the lock nut. Like maybe bend it away from the nut. I have a 30 mm socket that barely fits on the nut, so I'm assuming the lock nut washer needs to be dealt with. LMK guy's and thanks for your expertise. Only reply if you have done this before..
    Thanks
    Barry

Screw driver+hammer will take care of that lock washer.

You don't need to do anything with the lock ring to get the nut off. You will need new lock rings to reassemble and it is a good idea to use new nuts. There isn't much depth to the nut, so I use a 30mm socket that has had it's bevel ground off squarely.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
