Do you have an aftermarket stereo or the factory one?

        "OE radio and speaker arrangement"

the answere is yes you have a short or a loose conection from the remote antena wire i believe its white, to the antena. follow it back, its probably in the trunk. (the problem that is)

Make sure the wire that plugs into the "PA" prong on the back of your radio is still there and not broken, for starters.

PA? are you talking about the wire that conrtols the antena? if so we were talking about the same thing and if it was broken the antena wouldn't go up at all.

The antenna motor is only supposed to get power long enough to raise the antenna. Power to it is then shut off so the motor isn't constantly pushing against something that isn't moving. If you're looking for a power source for something like an amp to turn it on when the radio is on (or for any other reason) the antenna motor power is not a good place.
