    white smoke from tail pipe

Ok fired up the car yesterday afternoon and there is white some coming fom the tailpipe. Look like there might be coolant in the cylinder.

Question is what do I have to do to remedy this? Do I have to change the head gasket?

It's not cool over there is it?
If its not water that had condensed in the exhaust then you have a problem.
    Does it always smoke?
Is there water in the oil?

No it's pretty warm here now.

didn't smoke later in the day.

I'll have to check the oil when I get back.

Sounds like the head gasket to me. You gave two of the tell tale symptoms.

white smoke wont be oil, could be condensation or water in the tail pipe, white smoke on start up in mornings or wet days is common. if it does it regularly you should do your head gasket, and get your head checked to see if its true or not. easy way to check if your burning coolent is check the level on your resivoir, mark it with a felt, drive it for a few days and see if it drops, but make sure you mark when after its sat enough to cool down.
