    Truing the e30 Unibody

My car hasn't been hit, I'm just wondering cause over time our cars start tweaking and bending from all the various bumps and bottom-outs of tracking, canyoning, and/or city driving.

In one of the various e30s I've had I hit a large enough pothole to tweak the passenger side frame rail/strut tower, hard enough that the hood popped and the glove box opened. Thinking about maybe trying to straighten it. Theres a new crack by the battery tray, where there wasn't before. I know most e30s have this crack soo Im wondering.....

Has anyone put their uncrashed e30 up on a frame rack and straightened it out just to straighten em?

In general I'm sure no regular person has done so.
Although racer will grind down strip the body and remove the seam sealer on panels and seam weld the whole thing up just to make it that more rigid.

You can always head to a competent collision shop in your area and ask them to get it up on a rack and see whats going on.
They should just charge you 3-4 hours for "set-up & measure" without actually doing anything.

I'm tempted to investigate this too. My passenger side camber plates now cannot go under -3 degrees due to bent/tweaked frame from a fat neighbor getting a ride to the bar.
