    Car gets no power??

recently i've been having to get a jump to start my car everyday. after the jump i could drive around with it for the rest of the day. Today on the other hand was totally different. I got the initial jump and drove about 40 miles to a restaurant and have a bite to eat with my parents. after lunch i went to go out to start my car, but it was dead. So i tried getting a jump but there was no juice going to anything. usually my radio and a few lights on the instrument panel come on.

i'm thinking it might be a dead relay or a short in the battery wiring. do you guys know any good ways to check the battery wiring for a short? what about checking the relays?

oh I have a 1986 325es if that helps any.

Check the battery connections, but it sounds like the battery has failed.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

but if the battery wires are directly connected to the jumper cables wouldn't it get enough power to have at least lights going? i'll check the battery, battery leads, and connection.

      thanks i appreciate the input.
