Strange Sound - Diff? Wheel Bearing?

When I reverse, or even when I am moving slowly forward, if I make a sharp turn, I get this low groan from the back of the car. It sounds like the differential maybe, as it is similar to the normal "reverse whine", just louder and lower in pitch, like a low groan, with a ghostly aura to it.

Whats up with my car? :|

Is that bad? I'm sure it is, but how bad? At least now I have figured out how to replicate the sound for my mechanic.

what kind of fluid is in your diff?
        LSD additive may help.

Half shafts never go out on these cars. Get the car safely in the air and run it so the wheels are turning and then get under there and listen closely.

Common sense- It's the new 'gifted'

Actually the fluid was just changed with some new stuff which my trusty mechanic says is good. Perhaps that is the problem.
