    broke my oil pan nut

after about 2 treads were out the bolt just broke. i wasnt twisting hard or anything. it wasnt hard to crack the bolt but now all but the head and about 2 threads are stuck in the pan. i thought i was always careful not to torque the bult tight. What should i do, do i have to take the pan off.

Use a bolt extractor. Oil pan bolt is the easiest bolt in the world to remove broken, it already has a hole in it.
