I was driving yesterday and all of a sudden my tach dropped and i realized that my car had stalled at 60mph. I pulled over to the side of the road and tried to re-start it but it would restart. I turns over fine just wont fire. I am thinking it is something electric? maybe it isn't getting spark or fuel? Need some help here.
Engine died and wont start...need help

Lift off the bottom of the back seat and turn the key to the "on" position, but dont start the car. See if you can hear the fuel pump buzz.

The pump doesn't get activated until you crank the engine. If you are getting spark then there is a 99% chance that it's your pump. What year is your car?Originally posted by PeaveyBassistLift off the bottom of the back seat and turn the key to the "on" position, but dont start the car. See if you can hear the fuel pump buzz.

Then he wouldnt have spark. Test for power to the fuel pump. If you have power there then the pump is toast.Originally posted by EverWiserMain Relay???Adam Fogg- '88 M3
