    overheating

so when the car is still and idling i have coolant coming out of my overflow hose, does that mean my thermostat isnt opening up. but when i pressed the gas it tends to open up and cool the car . I just want more input if thats the problem.

Running hot at idle could be a bad thermostat, but it could also be a bad fan clutch.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

i was leaning toward bad fun clutch could also be the water pump going out if you have the m20 some of those water pumps had plastic impellers blast your heater on high with idling lol

actually it was cold when i was running the car. ordering my thermostat today and installing it will let you know if things are good.

You have a t-stat that is stuck closed imho. Did you bleed the system? Check the hose to t-stat and from. If from is cold 100% tstat is faulty.

yea soo its still warmsss up there to almost 3/4 hot at idle but no coolant out the overflow now. im guessing its the water pump now x_x but imma just do a complete overhaul on the engine before the summer. Can it also be that i have to bleed the system???
