    Diffrences between 86 325 and E30s after?

Just wondering what the minor differences are between an 86 bone stock 325 and models after them. I know as much as there is to know on 87 325IS, thats what I drive but I bought a project car under the asumption it was an 88 and it's an 86. Not a big deal, I couldn't even tell looking at it I was just wondering what parts are useable, what parts aren't, I'm not planing on keeping the engine or trans so driveline is not an issue. I was just wondering about everything else.

Most parts say they work on e30s from 87-91 or what have you. Whats the mystery in the 86?

in 88 the body changed. Almost every single part minus the rear bumper and tailights are interchangable with the pre 87 cars.

rs4pro3 - does that include front spoiler? Just picked up an 87 325i but it's missing the front spoiler and I'm not sure what bolt-on options I have. Will m3 or 87+ e30 pieces bolt right up even if they won't be as flush as on later models?

M3 wont because its a wide body wont fit any of the E30's except the M3, as for other cars i believe that the plastic bumper front valance was different, but i coudl be wrong.

everything up front fits from the regular E30. You can even use the M3 bumper but it takes work. Ask Jordan about making the rear fit. Or Bill, that psyco even changed rear lower sections....
          Im now E30less.

              What about suspension or brakes?

Brakes on the non m3 and Ix's as well as the suspension are all the same. There are little changes of different sways, and springs but they interchange. That's why the the 88 up cars are still e30's they still use the same chassis.
