So theres this odd squeaking noise coming from the front of my car while its running. Its coming from up by where all the belts are moving. One of the belts, is moving a couple mm back and forth (think front of car to back of the car) visibly. Im also thinking its the fan clutch perhaps? Im having all the belts replaced this weekend, but I want to know if I should spring for a new clutch as well. Under load the noise goes away, but I cant tell if thats because its being drowned out by other engine noise or not. Most likely it is. It doesnt quite sound like a pulley that needs grease, not as high pitched, but similar and reciprocal. Like I can hear a distinct pitch every half second or so, etc. Sorry if Im being vague, but its hard as hell to describe this thing. Any help would be appreciated.
