    91 318is--M50 swap

My car is a '91 318is, it has an M50 swap, '95 M3 automatic wiring harness, 413 ECU.

I drove the car to UPS this morning, no issues whatsoever.
The car sat in the carport for a few hours, then I went to drive to the post office. First start...cranked, fired...hovered around 400rpm--quit. Next few tries it would crank over but no fire. Fuel pressure is zero during cranking, according to adjustable FPR.

I swapped the fuel pump relay with another relay, still no fuel pressure.
I checked all fuses related to fuel delivery, all are fine.

This is my only car and need it daily for work, errands, etc.

    Any input is appreciated.

While cranking the engine, try tapping on the top of the fuel pump on the electrical connector (simotaneously). When my pump was going bad, that is how I started my car.

Good luck. Let me know if it works for you.

Fuel pump or maybe clogged fuel filter?

also could be a leak or kink in one of the lines if you took the tank out for some strange reason... but a leak will do it too... maybe the regulator is defective...? i duno if that every happens tho

I'd check the fuel pump first, give it a few taps.

Was able to just now get a fuel pump from SSF, had it shipped Next Day. Installation was easy with just a few tools, and the car runs really strong right now.

Thanks to all for the advice.
