No Clutch after winter storage! Why?

So i sat in my car today! First time since october :)

As my foot touched the clutch, it shot strait to the floor, then a had to pull it back up :(

Is this a normal thing when cars are not touched for a full winter? Do i need to do a bleed job? What do you think?

Is there fluid in the brake reservoir, or is it wet on the inside of the car under the clutch pedal. If its wet your clutch master might be leaking, if there are no leaks then you might just have air in the system and re-bleed it.

You have a leak somewhere. Might be a bad clutch master or slave cylinder.

You apparently have a leak. Easy money is on the clutch slave cylinder.
Short of finding the leak, replacing the faulty component and bleeding the system you can do the following to get it going.
Fill the reservoir up and pump the clutch pedal by push/pulling it about 50 times or so and it should be driveable unless its just pouring out which is not likely.

You obviously know nothing about how hydraulics work.
Its a closed system. Other than a leak how else would air get into the system??

Wouldn't be the first time the slave cylinder has gone on me. I will try pumping the clutch pedal today, that way i can drive to my friends shop! YAY! No wet snow on my back while i work.

                Thank you Teaguer
