    Another overheating thread

Okay guys, I feel like I've tried all the obvious solutions so I'm asking for some help.

I clipped my top radiator hose so I replaced it, and the thermostat. I jacked the car up, ran the heat on full and opened the bleeder screw. At first I got some fluid, but over time all I get is steam. I squeezed all the hoses and held the throttle at 2.5k until it tries to run hot again.

The water pump was replaced within the last 6 months so I don't think that's an issue. I removed the upper hose, filled the radiator, used the lower hose to add to the block and repeated the bleed process. My heat still won't STAY hot so there's air somewhere right?

I even removed the thermostat to see if it would drive cool but to no avail. I don't think it ran long enough to heat sink...

    Ideas?

Did you turn the heater on full blast when you bled it?

It sounds like you may be using correct bleed procedure, which leads to a suspicion of a failed head gasket.

Did the engine overheat when the hose failed? If it did, there's a good chance of a head gasket failure (and a warped head).
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
