    Reverse switch wires

Hey guys I need a part and some help. My wires that connect to my reverse switch, are damaged. I need to know how hard it is to route.

Not too hard. You can get at them from under the car. Remove console and whatnot in cabin, disconnect from transmission switch (from below) – then pull wires into cabin to clean and work on them.

If the insulation was simply worn – then I suppose you could just wrap with electrical tape as needed.

If metal of wire was compromised, then I’d be inclined to solder in appropriate replacement lengths, use heat-shrink tubing on exposed areas – and then wrap with electrical tape for good measure.

Incidentally, the reverse switch on transmission is cheapish and worth replacing as they do go out – “while you’re in there”.

Switch just interrupts a flow of current.

It does not matter which wire is on which terminal.
