Yea, I just looked at my Haynes manual and it shows number one cylinder as being close to the front of the car, so I got the distributor wired correctly. I am going to switch the sensor to number 6 though just in case.
You got your cylender order backwards. #1 is at the front of the car. You are correct that the sensor ring goes on #6 though.
Hm. Well, the sensor wire on the i's I've worked on is on the #6 wire, and that wire goes to the cylinder closest to the front of the car...that would lead me to believe that's the #6 cylinder....
