I'm at a loss. I'm trying to switch from a euro cluster to a U.S. cluster. Here's the history:
Had the euro cluster in when I got the car but the coolant gauge didn't work. Plus the SI lights were doing something strange... Replaced the coolant sensor and checked the continuity of the sensor wires.
Got a U.S. cluster off of ebay. Odometer gears were shot. Ordered new gears and replaced them. Took the SI board out of another cluster and switched it out of the euro cluster. Yay, coolant gauge works!
So I have 3 clusters that I cannibalized together to try to get a U.S. cluster out of. But the U.S. speedo doesn't work. Left the cluster in the car and swapped in the euro speedo. It works...
So then I re-flow all the solder points on the U.S. cluster thinking it would work. No go...
So does anyone know where I can send this off to get repaired? I already spent the money on the odometer gears and I'd really like to get this U.S. gauge to work. Oh, it's a VDO if that matters at all...
