    Running Rough in Rain

    Hi All,
I've noticed a pattern in my car's behavior. It tends to run really rough when I first start driving in the rain or wet conditions. I found that if I drive it at high rpms, it will drive ok and eventually the problem goes away after about 5 minutes. I'm thinking it's the spark plug wires, but I don't see any cracks in them and I didn't see any arching when I opened the hood. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Mike

That does sound like the plug wires. There's a good chance they are original and are at least ten years past the point they should have been replaced.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I too had the same problem, and it was the plug wires. You could try a little dialectric grease, very lightly apply it to the porcelain.
