    e30 door lock problem

ok, I've seen a few threads on this but I will outline in detail what my problem is: besides the occasional ticks I experience. (Grin)

    2 door:

Unlocked position: Drivers side locks all and unlocks everything

Unlocked position: Passenger side lock kicks back and won't lock anything.
Unlocked position: trunk lock kicks back and won't lock anything

Locked position: trying the passenger side to unlock won't budge. Key won't turn. in the unlocked position the pass lock turns

Locked position: Trunk lock only opens the passenger side -drivers side stays locked.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is and what needs replacing.

    thank you.

Here's the thread I made about my car. No answers, but I am working on it now since the weather in ottawa is getting better.

I found that the drivers side is the first one to go. xD You pretty much has to rebuild the locks for the ones that won't unlock even themselves (ie. they are totally stuck) and you have to replace the actuators on the locks that turn but don't unlock or lock certain things through the central locking.

eBay or PelicanParts.com are good places to hunt for the lock rebuilt kits. (you don't want more then one key for your doors)

      thanks for the link:

I think my problem isn't a "lock" seizing issue or one needing a rebuild.
All the locks work. I rebuilt the trunk lock cause the guy replaced it with another lock so I had two keys.

I also changed the Central locking control unit and I get the same problem.
so I suspect it is the actuator in either the drivers door or the passenger door. I was hoping someone could confirm this before I start tearing shit apart. lol.
