    Head Studs over Bolts

Just wondering if anyone has ever used head studs instead of bolts on the M42?

Would ARP make a custom set for me?

I must ask, why do you need them? Stock bolts are fairly cheap and do the job for your average engine.

Firstly because they do not have to be replaced every time you remove the head. Secondly they are stronger. I would like to build a turbo M42 sometime soon, but want mucho power. I was originally thinking around 300-350 which is fine with arp head bolts but now I have my eyes on 400-450, maybe even 500hp but I don't trust the head bolts due to torquing and how it is spread across the bolts. Studs are much more reliable.

YES I know I can do an 24valve swap turbo and have that power for a fraction of the cost but I want to have a crazy as M42 just to stick it up you guys.

On that note I have found ARP head studs for the M42 so please ignore thread.

      Cheers
