stainless steel studs/header flange stud removal

would stainless steel studs be acceptable replacement for the m42 exhaust manifold? the whole studs came out when I took off the manifold and I figured I'd replace them with something that wont corrode as easy. Just wasnt sure on the strength compared to other metals....

Also does anyone have any tips for seperating the headers from the cat part of the exhaust on the m42? I got one nut off the studs (im assuming they are studs, so much rust hard to make out a bolt head) and the rest are all seized to themselves and beat to shit.

Use a nut cracker to split the nuts.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I'll put anti seize on the studs, because as far as I know studs don't necessarily get torqued down as say bolts would; correct me if I'm wrong though. But I figured while I'm in there stainless can't hurt. It's only like .50 cents extra per stud for stainless over the other stuff at Ace hardware anyways....
