MOTEC in a 318is

Anyone here with experience or knowledge on replacing the existing EMS with an after market MOTEC Engine Management System???

Or would that be an overkill?

unless ur seriously modding the engine (n/a rebuild, DASC, and/or turbo), it's not worth the money, time, money, effort, or money to put something like the motec system on a mostly stock m42.

Yeah...the Motec would probably cost more than the car anyway....

Over here, cars are expensie but not labour... It's much cheaper compared to the states and also Australia.

Had a fren indirectly involved in the local rally scene and he might be able to get me a good deal on the MOTEC..

Just toying with the idea for now. Getting a performance chip here is not cheap as well so if the cost for the MOTEC is not that high, I would consider...
